Zion National Park

Our first stop of our road trip was Zion National Park. I LOVE this park because the hikes are so different, from hiking on top of the canyon, to hiking in the water through the narrows included with waterfalls and tiny slots. The park shuttle literally drops and picks up very close to the trail head. Its a beautiful red rock park!
I had been here once before and had the opportunity to use a wet suit and repelling gear in the slots when I was in college. This trip was obviously much different with our baby girl, it was more of a daytime stop with a few short hikes. We also got to experience this trip with Andy's parents, Steve and Trisha.

We decided to keep our 4 night 5 day trip cheap by packing lunches in our backpack cooler, sleeping in the same hotel and driving in the same vehicle. We all got along and had a great time. However as the trip went on... from the lack of sleep, lack of routine and lack of familiarity, and too much driving.... Alyeska was very attached to mommy and it was very hard to even go potty in the hotel room without her crying :) poor baby! Over all she was a great traveler and did awesome in the backpack.
