Biking on Ogden Parkway

I love Ogden's Parkway! I roller blade it mostly, but today Andy and I rode our bikes at the trail-head behind Canyon Sports in Riverdale and turned around at Rainbow Gardens on 12th street. We stopped for lunch with Vinny and Alisha at Two Bit Cafe on 25th street. We headed back and I found I had a flat tire. Andy was going to head back to get the truck to pick me up, but first took a goat head out of his tire to find that his tire was hissing. It was a great day besides our flat tires. Good thing Vinny and Alisha came to our rescue.

fishing at Mantua

Jennifer invited me to go fishing.. I hadn't been fishing for about 4 years since I went fishing in Washington State. We took her neighbor Terry's boat out to Mantua Lake, which is small but beautifully surrounded by mountains. We caught about 25 fish between the 3 of us. We kept 13. Jennifer caught the biggest blue gill and she also caught our only trout. Terry and Jennifer were so sweet and gave me all of the fish to bring home. I had lots of fun! Everytime I caught a fish Terry or Jenn had to take if off the hook for me. :)

Chattahoochee River

It was so dreamy kayaking into the fog, and felt so good in the hot summer air. Check out Alan Jackson's song about the Chattahoochee River on youtube:
"Way down yonder on the Chattahoochee
It gets hotter than a hoochie coochie
We laid rubber on the Georgie asphalt
We got a little crazy but we never got caught"
We finished off the evening with a lovely dinner with Josh, Cami, Steve and Trisha.

Sunday in Georgia

Went to RUMC. Visited Wandall (family friend). Met Mema and Uncle David at Red Lobster for lunch. Rode Josh's scooter around the neighborhood. I told Andy I wanted to ride on a scooter this summer, so he made it happen. I love Andy! We had dinner with Adam and Melanie at Spiced Right BBQ (yUmMy). Who could ask for a better Sunday with family, friends, and a little bbq!

Stone Mountain

Andy and I felt the humidity first thing we stepped off the plane. It was my first southern experience in the summer. OH BOY DID I SWEAT! We were off to a busy start first thing we got there on Saturday. We (Andy, Andy's parents, and I) hit Stone Mountain and had fun going on the sky hike, we weren't able to bring our camera up but we got a few pictures of the course. It was a little scary at first, but so much fun. We also went and saw a 4d movie called the "Journey to the Center of the Earth." We also went up Stone Mountain on the tram. The sky was a little hazy but it was amazing to see that Georgia is pretty much all forest. It had just rained the night before so there were puddles all along the mountain. Lastly we watched the laser show and fireworks which was awesome. This was just the beginning of our Georgia trip.

Vinny and Alisha's wedding

Yay I'm so happy for my friends. They just got married last Friday. The ceremony part of their wedding was the most intimate I had ever been to, it was beautiful. It was also lovely to see all my friends. Congrats my Vinny and Alisha!

I have to brag about how very talented and hansome my husband is; he played sang at Dave and Rochelle Tyson's wedding and he did an amazing job. I was so proud of him. :)
