Canyonlands National Park

I was happy to get to go to Canyonlands for two reasons: I hadn't been there yet, and I really want to go after watching that movie called "127 hours" and seeing the beautiful landscape from the awesome film. It amazes me that if someone wanted to get lost or hide this would be the place to do it with the endless mazes of red rock. In fact I learned that the outlaws back in the day literally used the Canyonlands as a hideout.

It can be a very unforgiving place especially in the summer. It was nice to come in the spring, but I have to admit it was a little too windy and chilly on some of our hikes for my taste. However I'm sure that it beats the hottest days of summer. Alyeska loved being out there and didn't seem to mind the wind.

We were sure to get a stamp at each park and monument in Alyeska's book. She may not remember she was there but we have proof :)
