Woke at 5:30 so we could get to the park to take the park shuttle to Eielson Visitor Center which is an 8 hour round trip in Denali National Park. We saw moose at the park entrance. We didn’t get to see Denali, in fact the mountain is only visible 20% of the time which was sad for Andy because he really wanted to see it. My highlight was seeing 8 grizzly bears, ground squirrels, golden eagle, bald eagle, dall sheep, three moose, lynx, caribou, and snowshoe hares. We didn't get to see wolves but quite a few people did at the park that day. We drove to Fairbanks and checked in at Comfort Inn. Ate dinner at Big Daddy’s BBQ, which was the best BBQ Andy had since Georgia. Drove around town. We liked Fairbanks, in fact Andy mentioned that he could live there for awhile but I don't like -30 degrees in the winter.
