Being home with Alyeska all day I've learned to translate her pretty well. I usually know when she's tired, hungry, or bored, she doesn't really cry when she's wet yet. Anyways she has a new cry and it became evident just in the last week or so. We went to Alyeska's 4 month check up and we handed her over to her doctor. She was fine until she really looked at the doctor and noticed that this was not her daddy, so daddy got to hold her for the rest of the exam. A few days later we took Alyeska to grandma and grandpas and after being in grandmas arms for a few minutes she started crying and as soon as I held her she stopped. At home recently when I put Alyeska in her bumbo or other baby equipment and I leave the room when she's watching or she notices I'm not in sight she may start crying. I guess its inevitable. A part of Andy and I have a warm feeling in our hearts that we are a true comfort for our baby girl. She loves us the best!! However of course we do hope she will have a healthy confidence in other people as well but for right now I know its all part of her trust, confidence and bonding with her parents.
