Red Eye to Baton Rouge

Andy and I finished work and school on Wednesday and hit the Salt Lake City airport by 11 p.m. and got in Baton Rouge at 9:00 am. It was tiring, but oh so worth it. Liz picked us up and started us on our adventure first thing. We went to the Baton Rouge capitol building (which is the tallest in the U.S.), we went up to the observation deck to see Baton Rouge and the Mississippi river. Before heading to the Hasenkampf's home we saw the Tiger at the LSU campus. Oh yeah and on the way home since I never went Geo Cashing Liz stopped to Geo cash by a tennis court. Andy found the treasure under some rocks. I think I can get into this Geo cashing thing. When we go to their house we got a tour and then waited at the driveway for Ellie and Dave to come home from school. Before finishing off our night we took a short nap before we headed to a beautiful Louisiana plantation called Houmas House http://www.houmashouse.com/ There we had a tour, and ate an amazing dinner. Andy's dinner had a sweet potato afro. The weather was PERFECT!!! We were wearing short sleeves and shorts our whole trip.
