Yes, I planted my first garden today. Well it's been over 3 days because its been raining which was a good thing because the ground was nice and wet. I really have no idea what I'm doing. I asked Andy how much I should spend and he said lets try $50. I went to Walmart and got soil, flower bulbs, roots and seeds for just around $50. Well I had no idea what to get so I just got a bunch of perennials that were some kind of pink shade. I decided to go with a pink theme because since I have no idea what I'm doing at least I don't have to color coordinate and also Walmart had some kind of pink flower sale for breast cancer or some other cause. The only flower that is already started is a lavender flower that I got from a cute neighbor boy who dropped it off for mother's day. That was sweet considering I'm not a mom yet, except to my puppy. Also last year my other neighbor Maggie gave me some Iris bulbs that have already started to grow. So today is May 5th, I'll update this blog as progress happens.
I plated the following flowers: Iris, Dahlia, Lavendar, Gladiolus, Oriental Lily, Astilbe, Gladius, Zinnia, Morning Glory, Lilium, Giuseppi, Liatris, Kaleidoscope, and Coneflower.
