Red Eye to Baton Rouge

Andy and I finished work and school on Wednesday and hit the Salt Lake City airport by 11 p.m. and got in Baton Rouge at 9:00 am. It was tiring, but oh so worth it. Liz picked us up and started us on our adventure first thing. We went to the Baton Rouge capitol building (which is the tallest in the U.S.), we went up to the observation deck to see Baton Rouge and the Mississippi river. Before heading to the Hasenkampf's home we saw the Tiger at the LSU campus. Oh yeah and on the way home since I never went Geo Cashing Liz stopped to Geo cash by a tennis court. Andy found the treasure under some rocks. I think I can get into this Geo cashing thing. When we go to their house we got a tour and then waited at the driveway for Ellie and Dave to come home from school. Before finishing off our night we took a short nap before we headed to a beautiful Louisiana plantation called Houmas House http://www.houmashouse.com/ There we had a tour, and ate an amazing dinner. Andy's dinner had a sweet potato afro. The weather was PERFECT!!! We were wearing short sleeves and shorts our whole trip.

Chas and Kimber's Wedding

I am loving the photo booth idea at weddings. Check out our pictures. Sadly I didn't take any pics of Chas and Kimber. It was a beautiful, elegant wedding yesterday.

Mountain Drive to Sundance

We have never been to Sundance until last Sunday. It was gorgeous. The Ashby's just happen to be going as well so we met up with them and walked around a bit. Afterwords we had In and Out. What a lovely autumn day. The drive was AMAZING!

Anti-Drug and Alcohol Rally in Layton

The Stand played at the Anti-Drug and Alcohol Rally at the Layton Amphitheater. They did a great job!

Snowbasin Hike

We love the colors in the fall but as you know the fall flies by in Utah so Andy and I went to snowbasin 2 Fridays ago to catch the change. It was beautiful. We ended our hike with a nice picnic. We cant wait to see more of God's beauty in the next few weeks.

Bailey's football game

We went to The Stinnett's son's football game last Saturday. Andy and I know very little about football but it got us excited for whatever our kids will be involved with. We will probably be the parents with the bull horn or with the camera taking pictures. Andy took 400 pictures of the game and it isn't even our kid. It was fun watching the Stinnett family supporting Bailey.
Dakota came along with us to the game and was loving all the attention from all kids.

Howling Puppy

Chelsea showed me this great Lamborghini youtube video that your dog can't help but howl to. I love hearing Dakota howl, its so cute :)

Girls clothes exchange!

My old roommates and I used to have clothes exchanges once in awhile. Well we all used to borrow each others clothes when we lived together but now that is no longer as easy, and our husbands don't have as cute of clothes to borrow. So Melinda had the brilliant idea to have a girls night where we could get rid of all our clothes, eat a yummy dinner, celebrate Oto's birthday, and sip on Mojitos. We stayed up and talked until 1 am.. it was one of the best girls nights we had in a long time :) We were just missing a few friends.

UTA all the way!

Andy and I got a free one week bus pass in the mail so Andy had the brilliant idea of having a bus date. He wanted to check out where the 612 goes so we took it from start to finish (Ogden Regional Hospital and it turned around at 3100 North Ogden). We got off at Andy's Greek restaurant on 5th north, and got back on to go home. Andy finally got to use his free bus pass from good old Weber State University. A fun and simple date :)
